271. Driving down HWY 830. Windows down. Wind blowing our hair like crazy. Listening to Death Cab 4 Cutie. (Different Names for the Same Thing) The song is swelling. The Sun is setting over the lake. Having a gum smacking contest with my nine year old- -very hip and cool little dude. High fiving each other as we reach the record breaking number of 7 pops in a row. My heart aching that someday this moment will be viewed as so uncool. But smiling at the fact that right now I am soooo cool because I can pop my gum 7 times and that I listen to Death Cab 4 Cutie.

He said, "Dude, you're awesome, Mom!" I said..."Dude, I know!"

#261. An empty tomb

"CRIMSON" by: Nicole Nordeman

One choice
One tree
One fall for humanity
One lie
One liar
One bite is all death required

One great regret
One squandered chance and yet
One hope
One day
One name above all other names
One bridge between then and now
One way to discover how

One price
One tree
One drop of crimson covers me
